What is it ?
Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is a goal-oriented approach based on modern neurosciences, that uses Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and guided relaxation. It helps you create positive lasting changes in your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours in a gentle, effective and safe way.
It is based on research that shows how healing can occur more quickly and efficiently when we focus on the solutions rather than the problems in our lives. It doesn’t mean that we don’t address your problems, it’s more about giving you a new and positive perspective. Some say ‘where focus goes, energy flows’, — well, neuroscience confirms that saying.
As a Solution Focused Hypnotherapist, I believe you have the strength and abilities necessary to create a beautiful life. You might just have forgotten it. And I am here to simply bring these elements, buried deep in your subconscious, to the surface of your consciousness, and allow you to connect with your true inner power.
First, we establish your goals, hopes and dreams for the future, and what doesn’t align with those. Then I give you knowledge and tools that you can use in your everyday life, and we create achievable tasks to move towards your preferred life. Finally, I guide you into a state of deep relaxation and heightened focus, known as a trance. In this state, you are more open to positive suggestions and can explore and address whatever affects you on a subconscious level.
What I particularly love about the relaxation is that you are in a safe container where you can become the observer of your thoughts and get to know yourself better. You allow the body and mind — those miraculous intelligent engines — to do their thing, encouraging more healing to occur naturally.
Negative patterns of the mind are gently transmuted into healthier habits. And changing our belief system does change our lives. That is how powerful your mind is, that is how powerful you can be. Clients can see improvements even after the first session.
Session Format
Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is a relatively quick therapy. It usually lasts 6 to 12 weeks. Except for treating specific Phobias (3 sessions) and Smoking or Vaping (1 session). Though this can vary depending on your needs. Some clients could need more than 12 sessions, some others need monthly/yearly sessions.
I currently conduct my sessions exclusively online. It is generally more convenient for my clients to find availability and to fully commit to the treatment. It also offers the familiar comfort of your own home (or any convenient place you choose), you won’t need to travel and it has been proven to be just as beneficial as face-to-face sessions. All you need is a room, good Wi-Fi and some privacy for the duration of the session. This format allows you to work with me from anywhere in the world.
The first consultation (50 min) is totally free and no obligation. You tell me a bit about your life, what brought you here and where you want to go. Based on that, I explain to you what is happening in your brain that causes you to feel this way and what we can do to take you towards your goals and make your life better in general. Finally, I give you a recorded relaxation for you to listen to at home.
The next sessions go as follows: We have a little chat about the big or small moments of joy in your recent life. We find a task that brings you closer to your goals. Then we use all that beautiful energy to ease you into a trance that will solidify your positive intentions, and encourage your positive actions through language patterns chosen specifically for you and your situation.

Does online hypnotherapy work?
Studies show that online hypnotherapy can be as effective as in-person sessions. It also allows the client to conduct the session from anywhere they choose. Giving a certain degree of flexibility that is often welcomed.
Is self-hypnosis possible?
Yes, practising self-hypnosis is achievable. Through techniques such as visualisation, for instance. This can be beneficial for managing conditions like chronic pain.
Is hypnotherapy inappropriate for some people?
Hypnotherapy doesn’t cure complex mental health conditions which involve hallucinations, delusions, and psychotic symptoms. If these elements are under control (medication/other treatment), hypnotherapy can help manage the condition and increase serotonin.
Does Solution Focused Hypnotherapy work?
I can guarantee my commitment and competence, though no therapy has guaranteed success. It is a co-creation between client and therapist. Research shows good success rates for people who do Solution Focused Hypnotherapy.
Can anyone be hypnotised?
Hypnotherapy is different from Stage Hypnosis. It uses a light level of Trance, a very natural state that we all experience when we’re daydreaming, watching a program or at the gym. So everyone can access it.
Is hypnotherapy safe?
Hypnotherapy is a secure process. It is not about controlling your mind or brainwashing. Your therapist cannot compel you to do anything embarrassing or against your will.
